As Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google shares; the best advice he ever got, initially resented, but now always gives, is to have a coach. You aren't the only one to think 'Why do I need a coach?'
A great coach is someone who looks at something with another set of eyes, giving you perspective, the one thing you cannot give yourself and a system to tackle future challenges and helps you succeed.

“...it was presented as an opportunity and I thought "Why not?" I was stuck on a few things and had been stuck on one for years. My last experience with coaching was not good. The circumstances with this were much different and the timing was right. I don't know Tina and we've never met.
I sort of needed a completely independent person to be accountable to since I'd failed for many years to be accountable to myself to get a few things done/make progress. There were times when Tina had to remove a coaching hat and put on a mentoring hat and it was there that breakthroughs happened for several things.
